Gilles Bazinet

After working as a project engineer for Seagram’s and Schenley, Mr. Bazinet pursued his career by joining Biscuits David and then landed a position at the multinational Redpath Sugar.  After taking part in the refinery’s shutdown, Mr. Bazinet opened his own office equipment business, which he then sold in December of 1999, after 19 years of operation.  Mr. Bazinet worked for 10 years as an investment advisor before transferring his clients to a colleague.  In 2010, he started a new career in communications (photography, video, web, and training) and in 2012, he joined the mentorship team and has supported 4 entrepreneurs since.  

Johanne Bellerose-Messier

Mrs. Bellerose-Messier was director and shareholder of a retail company for thirty years.  Today, as a professional coach and human ressource consultant, she has taken part in several business restructurings as well as many company acquisitions and sales. She wishes to support entrepreneurs by gearing them towards a better future and thus contribute to developing entrepreneurship.  She joined the mentorship program in 2010 and has supported ten mentorees.

Jean-Claude Billette

Jean-Claude Billette is a professional chartered accountant. In 1979 he acquired Agence de voyage Lapointe in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, which he managed for more than 30 years before transferring it to a new owner and leaving for retirement.  His will to help the new generation of entrepreneurs is what drove him to become a mentor in 2011, and since, he has supported four entrepreneurs.  

Luc Lachapelle

After studying in business administration, civil engineering and having worked in numerous seasonal jobs, Mr. Lachapelle began his career at Bauval in 1981. He was head of site operations, worked in sales, was responsible for the aggregate production, went from project manager to paving team manager and then finally became in charge of many divisions throughout the province. He became president in 1995 and assumed ownership in 2010.  Mr. Lachapelle joined the mentoring team in 2007 to share his experiences and encourage entrepreneurs.  Since, he has supported six mentorees.

Lise Malo

Mrs. Malo has been an entrepreneur all her life, her father being an entrepreneur himself. She became the executive director of the family business and managed it for many years. She literally knows the ins and outs of running a business. She is now a personal and business financial planner.  She wishes to contribute to the well-being of our business community and, in turn, to the economic vitality of our region by sharing her knowledge and experience. Mrs. Malo joined the mentoring team in 2005 and has supported ten entrepreneurs since.
 

Jocelyn Riendeau

Mr. Riendeau obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration (accounting) from l’Université de Sherbrooke in 1975 and later obtained his CA and Management accounting accreditations. He began his career at Filiatrault & Associés where he worked for 14 years, seven of which he was an employee, and seven as an associate of the practice. In 1989, he opened and managed his own practice right until 2009, which he sold to Séguin Haché where he now works as a consultant. Mr. Riendeau joined the mentoring team in 2011, and has since mentored two entrepreneurs.
